A Council to Protect the Interests of Families of Fallen Soldiers Will Be Created in the Prykarpattia Region

In the Prykarpattia region, it is planned to create a Council of Families of Fallen Defenders of Ukraine under the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration. The aim is to involve the families of fallen soldiers and civil society organisations that represent their interests in its work.

This was reported by the head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Military Administration, Svitlana Onyshchuk.

During a meeting with relatives of fallen defenders, they discussed issues that require special attention and resolution. In particular, they spoke about supporting families and implementing veterans’ policy in the region.

According to Onyshchuk, this year almost 77 million hryvnias were allocated from the regional budget to support veterans and their families. Next year, funding is planned to increase.

The responsibility of territorial communities in supporting the families of fallen servicemen was also stressed.
